Rare antique Fischel bentwood armchair, early 20th century, circa 1905–1925.

A particularly attractive and unusual example by the renowned Fischel bentwood furniture manufacturer.

The chair features a distinctive four-leg diamond configuration, elegant curved supports beneath the seat and a large continuous bentwood frame forming the back and armrests.

Both the wooden seat and the broad shaped backrest feature beautiful grooved detailing, giving the chair a strong and highly graphic appearance.

The original FISCHEL paper label is still present underneath the seat, confirming the manufacturer.

Made from bent beechwood with a beautiful warm honey-brown patina developed through decades of use.

Condition:
Good antique condition with genuine age-related wear, scratches and marks. A localized old area of wear/damage is present on the curved wooden frame and is clearly shown in the photographs. The original patina has been preserved.
