This hardcover book "A Pictorial History of Galesburg Illinois" was one of a limited edition of 1,800 copies sponsored by the Galesburg newspaper - The Register Mail - in 1993.  Edited by Norma Cunningham and Dale Humphrey, many people were involved in producing this book by providing their knowledge and photographs.  Published by Heritage House Publishing in Marceline Missouri, it has 128 glossy pages, most with black and white photographs.

The book covers the founding of Galesburg and its history through the years.  Important events, industry such as the railroad, buildings, and people important to the town and/or famous are discussed and shown in photos.

The book has a nice sturdy black hard cover with lettering and the Galesburg seal in gold on the front cover.  It is about 10-1/8 inches wide and 7-3/4 inches tall.

For a book over 30 years old, it is in excellent vintage condition - the binding is sturdy and it looks like it was not even read.  There are no marks or tears to the cover or pages.   It would be a great book for anyone interested in United States/Mid-America history - especially that of Galesburg Illinois.
