This is a beautiful and unused Parker 45 Flighter with chrome trim (CT), Fibre Tip, fully working Fibre Tip refill in place plus an unopened Parker refill spare.  It is boxed, has its original clip tag label and the box is also labeled and in its original card sleeve. 

The pen does not carry any date code, so it is pre-1980.  It has the dimpled tassie to the cap, making it a Mark II, and it has two further features which date it to the late 1970s:  late in the 1970s a change was made to simplify the internal components of the barrel. The Flighter lost its full length plastic internal barrel inner sleeve to be replaced with a short brass threaded insert (which this pen has), plus the "tail" (originally black plastic, then smooth chrome) disappeared to give the barrel a more squared off look.  So I think we can date this pen to 1978 / 1979.

It is in superb condition - it has been opened (hence I have not listed it as "new") and has been only very lightly handled.  The black plastic section is glossy and unmarked and the brushed steel finish has that new and unworn look.  Chrome trims are immaculate.

Cap is stamped "PARKER", "MADE IN ENGLAND" and carries the Parker halo logo.

Clip tag is stamped "FLIGHTER FIBRE TIP PEN" and the box carries a sticker "FLIGHTER F/T PEN".

Fitted with its original Parker fibre tip refill (blue), which is working perfectly (testament to how well everything was made!) - and there is an unopened vintage Parker fibre tip refill spare (blue), too.  Refills are worth a few pounds in themselves as they are no longer made.  However, this pen with its supplies should now keep going for a long while if not allowed to dry out.

The box is in excellent clean condition - very little wear and tear, more marks to the cardboard sleeve which has done a good job of protecting everything.
