Here’s a beautiful piece of Solid Sterling Silver Oval Trinket Box / Pill Case, hinged lid with gilded interior, very attractive embossed floral scrolls pattern decoration on the lid and the sides of Trinket box / Pill case .

It stands firmly and true on a flat bottom base, no wobbles.

Antique Victorian sterling silver oval trinket boxes with fine decoration is a very collectible item especially when in such excellent condition.

Excellent clear hallmarks on under the base.

The hinged lid opens and closes perfectly with a strong 5 segments hinge which is very precise in operation. 

The gilded Interior of the lid and side panel has a good coverage of gold / gilding, with a just a few light marks on the base interior, which is in remarkable order for its 125 years of age.

This case will come with a brand new red quality velvet drawstring pouch to protect this beautiful piece when used or stored.

Hallmarks are stamped on the under the base, they are clear and readable.

Condition 

Excellent antique condition, no nasty dents, dints or scratches, its 

Gold / Gilt interior has a good and even coverage under the lid and sides, its interior base also has a good retention of gold. / gilt but does have a few light variances in the shade of gilt and some light minor marks.

On the underside of the base is the surface contact area and has some very light old marks, No damage whatsoever,  

The hinge is very strong as has a 5 segment mechanism , fits perfectly without any play and will hold the lid in any chosen position , beautifully polished, overall a fabulous and beautiful oval shaped sterling silver Victorian trinket box / pill box.
