This is a very rare 1850s Colt style powder flask.

Listed in Rilings book as #769, this pre-civil war era pocket flask features a dual-sided design with an eagle holding a banner reading “E Pulribus unum” and a shield.

Item shows great patina, and no damage.

Mechanism is stuck (closed) and could likely be freed by the new owner!
