Offered is an oak Western Electric ringer box that was used with a Bell System Western Electric D1 desk phone. The box has not been tested. I don’t know if it’s complete.
The back is marked 4 300 K. There are numerous markings on the interior.
The box is oak that has been painted black. The black paint is seriously chipping. It is tough to handle it without a storm of black bits fall off.
The box’s back plate, when resting on its back, measures 11 inches long and 8 inches wide. It is 6 inches deep or tall.
In a separate auction I am selling the coordinating phone that has been with the box. The ringer box weighs a heavy 18 or so pounds. I was afraid to try to mail them together.
