A lovely quality and very stylish Hanau German Solid Silver Tea Caddy of  rectangular form, the surface of this tea caddy is framed by repoussé rococo scrolls, decorated with putti fluttering around the Madonna, putti playing music, couple on the harvesters , beautiful rocaille.

Full decorative scenes with a high polished finish to the solid silver body, lid.

The lid pulls off and opens smoothly perfectly fitted.

Condition 

This tea caddy is in excellent antique condition, free from any personal engravings or monograms, all corners of the box are free from any dents or damage whatsoever, its solid silver exterior is beautifully polished, no nasty dents or scratching, may show some fine marks, partially due to the nature of silver being highly polished and it will show some very light signs of wear commensurate with age, but nothing noticeable and far better than most ( This is a lovely Tea Caddy )

Hanau German pseudo marks are situated on the underside of base of the tea caddy’s exterior, both hallmarks are slightly rubbed but easily readable.

One of mark is similar to the lion passant but easily makeout as the Hanau pseudo Mark.

Excellent condition, No dents, dints or nasty scratches, lid opens & closes as it should, no play or wear whatsoever, fits perfectly.

Stands True and straight, no wobbles. 

Silver is polished beautifully and the interior of tea caddy is very clean and hygienic.

A beautiful very stylish piece.

Comes with a brand new green velvet drawstring pouch to protect this piece when in not use.
