 Vehicle Identity Breakdown

Based on early Land Rover and British Military contract nomenclature, this vehicle markings decode as follows:

·         Contract Number (Cont. No. KL/H/0385): This designates the specific procurement contract issued by the British Ministry of Defence (MoD) to the Rover Company. Contract sequences beginning with KL/H/ were utilized for the earliest pre-production batches and initial production runs of the "Half-Ton" Lightweight models between mid 1967 and early 1968.

·         Chassis (Serial) Number (14100****):

o       141 Prefix: This is the critical hallmark of a ultra-rare Pre-Production / Rover 1 Prototype or early-series "Rover 1" Lightweight. Standard mass-production Series 2A Lightweights typically feature a 236 or 241 prefix. A 141 prefix places your vehicle at the absolute dawn of the Lightweight's military history.
