Mustard Pot.

A charming George V sterling silver mustard pot and spoon, the mustard pot hallmarked for Birmingham, 1919, accompanied by a matching sterling silver mustard spoon hallmarked for Birmingham, 1921.

The mustard pot is of an elegant traditional form with a hinged lid and loop handle, reflecting the restrained yet refined design characteristic of the early twentieth century. The accompanying spoon, assayed two years later, complements the pot perfectly and would almost certainly have been added as a replacement or matching accessory during its working life, a common practice with quality silver tableware of the period.

Designed for serving mustard at the dining table, this attractive set embodies the craftsmanship of Birmingham's renowned silversmiths during the post-First World War era. Whether displayed as part of a collection of antique silver or used on special occasions, it remains both decorative and practical.

A delightful addition to any collection of English hallmarked silver or traditional tableware.
