Navajo Ring by Sunshine Reeves

A stunningly beautiful piece of mint green turquoise graces this ring by Navajo silversmith Sunshine Reeves. The stone is likely from Sonora, Mexico as several mines in that region produce this unusual color. Our ring has a generously sized oval shaped cabochon in light bluish green with warm beige clouds of matrix. It is set into a plain bezel with a twisted wire rope surround; the stone is flanked by two triangular pieces of silver with stamped designs on a plain ring. This is hallmarked sterling and marked Reeves for Sunshine Reeves. It is a size 8.5. The stone measures approx 16mm H x 12mm x 3mm D or 5/8" H x 1/2" W x less than 1/16" D. It weighs 7.6g. This is very comfortable to wear & the truquoise has a unique color that catches the eye!

Excellent condition! No issues.

Note: Sunshine Reeves has won many accolades, including the prestigious "Best of Show" at the Santa Fe Indian Market in 1997 & "Best in Class" in 1998. His work is in the collection of the Smithsonian's Museum of the American Indian in Washington, DC.
