Cherokee White Oak Splint Basket by Mabel Walkingstick
This is a Qualla Cherokee basket from North Carolina, made by Mabel Walkingstick. It was woven in a traditional manner featuring two rows of crosses & one with a chain pattern. The basket is unsigned but has a Qualla Arts & Crafts Mutual,Inc, tag identifying the weaver. This measures approx 5" H x 7.75" W x 7.5" D. From a Wisconsin estate. This wonderful piece would add to any decor or collection of native American art!
