Original Japanese Army sword hanger strap for a company-grade officer.

This strap was designed to attach to an officer’s dress sword belt and suspend the sword scabbard. It has blue wool fabric on the reverse, indicating the company-grade officer type.

The blue wool backing has several moth holes, and part of the stitching is frayed and coming loose. The leather shows age-related wear, creasing, and surface cracking. The metal fittings have discoloration, plating loss, and oxidation.

Both spring-loaded hooks remain strong and function properly.
