The 22-fret neck, bound and with a moderate thickness designed to enhance tone and sustain, combines a push/pull tone control with a 3-way toggle switch for a wide range of sound shaping. This model also features a brass-insert stop-tail bridge and brass-shafted non-locking tuners, and is newly equipped with the McCarty III pickup, inspired by vintage guitars and producing a warm, rich vintage sound.

The McCarty III pickup embodies all the know-how that Paul Reed Smith and the PRS new product engineering team have cultivated in recent product development, from extensive research into vintage pickups to sound analysis and tuning techniques.
