Antique Stanley No. 35 transitional hand plane, an interesting example of Stanley’s early woodworking plane designs. Transitional planes combined a wooden plane body with Stanley’s patented adjustable iron and frog mechanism, bridging the gap between traditional wooden planes and the later all-metal Bailey-style planes.

The No. 35 was a substantial bench plane intended for general woodworking and surface preparation. Its transitional construction makes it especially interesting to collectors of early Stanley planes and traditional woodworking tools.

Overall in fair condition. It is missing the brass depth adjustment nut and the iron is VERY short. All other parts are in pretty good shape. The sole has wear but less than most I’ve seen.
