Original antique “The Peeler Rasp” advertising/catalog booklet for horseshoers and wagonmakers, sold by J. L. Ingalsbe Co., Glens Falls, New York.

This is a particularly neat piece of early American blacksmith/farrier ephemera. The booklet advertises the Peeler rasp with interchangeable cutting plates for dressing and trimming horse hooves and includes detailed product information, pricing, instructions, testimonials and period advertising copy.

The latest dated testimonial visible is January 23, 1901, so this example dates to 1901 or shortly thereafter. Earlier testimonials date back into the 1890s. Also interesting is the period handwritten pricing/order notation inside.

Original paper booklet shows substantial age-related wear including staining, discoloration, edge wear, small tears, creasing and wear along the folds/spine. It remains quite readable and displays extremely well for its age. Please review all photos for condition.
