Chick was published in 1923 and belonged to my great grandmother, and this book has a very interesting history.
My great grandmother and family moved from Tacoma Washington to Oslo Norway in 1919 and this book was
Sent to her by a family member in Tacoma in either 1923 or 1924 and my great grandmother held onto it no matter what.
This book survived World War ll in occupied Norway, even after books were banned by the Germans and having a book in English could Have cost them their lives. My great grandmother was American, and my great grandfather was from Norway.
They were stuck in Norway due to horrible circumstances and even after the war was over they weren't able to save enough money to get back to America until almost 1949. Still this book survived in really good condition.
When my great grandmother died in 1962 the book was given to my grandmother, and after she died the book was given to me.
This book has a great history but now it needs a new home because I don't have anyone to hand it down to who will
Take good care of it.
The book has a couple blemishes on the cover but otherwise it's in great condition and I am selling it because soon I
Will need to go to assisted living and I will not be able to take it with me and I would be sad if the book ended up
In a trash can because nobody cares. 256 pages.
