Fine Pair Of Vintage Large & Heavy Sterling Silver, High Gallery Champagne / Wine Bottle Coasters ( Large enough for Magnum )

These fine and very impressive vintage Elizabeth ll Sterling silver large and heavy Champagne / wine bottle coasters in cylindrical form with straight & high gallery’s in William II V style.

Each Sterling silver coaster is embellished with chased floral and foliate decoration accented with grape clusters and shell design.

The upper rim of each coaster is encircled with a thread decorated boarder.

The coaster are each fitted with a turned wooden base ( Oak I believe ) and covered on the underside with a fine quality green baize ( known as the Glide ).

Very rare to find such a pair of these fine top quality coasters from Roberts & Belk  especially in Sterling Silver & such wonderful condition.

Condition 

Superb / Excellent condition, No dents, dints or nasty scratches, gallery is perfect no twists or buckles. Hallmarks are clear and easily readable.

Beautiful turned wooden base, No dents, splits or scratches.

Wooden turned base’s have a light shade stain & darker shade often used for red wine and white wine ( Champagne ) 

  Green Baize / Felt is in excellent condition.

Sterling silver is of a heavy gauge and has a wonderful deep shine, polished and in excellent order.

May show some signs of wear commensurate with age and use, however they would be very minor and light.

These coasters have no dark patches or dull areas on the Sterling Silver, any such would be photographic issues.
