A seriously cool Gramicci casual sports coat, combining the proportions of classic tailoring with the practical, functional character that Gramicci does so well. Cut from a lightweight ripstop cotton-blend fabric in a versatile stone colour, it feels somewhere between an unstructured blazer, travel jacket and refined utility piece.

The design has a classic three-button front, but the traditional sports coat format is given a much more relaxed, contemporary treatment through the distinctive utility-style breast pocket, patch pockets and ripstop construction. The slightly technical nature of the fabric gives the jacket character without making it feel overtly like outdoor clothing.

One of my favourite details is the hardware. The vintage/distressed-effect buttons give the jacket an almost worn-in military character, while the cuffs feature matching press-stud fastenings. These small functional details completely change the personality of the jacket and are exactly what make it such an interesting alternative to a conventional cotton blazer.

The fabric is 98% cotton with 2% spandex, providing just enough stretch for comfort and movement while retaining the crisp texture of the ripstop weave. It is lightweight and easy to wear, making it an excellent spring/summer jacket and particularly good for travelling.

Honestly, this is the sort of jacket I would constantly reach for. Throw it over a white T-shirt or polo with chinos, denim or relaxed trousers and sneakers, and you're done. It is perfect for a café, a casual lunch or dinner, or simply zipping through an airport and wearing on the plane. It has enough structure to make an outfit look considered while remaining extremely casual and comfortable.
