Large collection of British shillings and sixpences – George V and George VI – total weight approximately 474g.


A good mixed lot covering several decades, with the majority being pre-1947 British silver coinage. The collection has been accumulated rather than assembled from modern reproductions and all coins shown are genuine circulated British coins.


The lot includes a mixture of shillings and sixpences, predominantly from the George V and George VI periods.

The majority of coins dated 1920–1946 are 50% silver.


The 1918 shilling is earlier sterling silver at 92.5% silver.

Condition


All coins are circulated and condition varies throughout the lot. There are examples ranging from well-circulated through to coins retaining good detail.


Some of the George VI shillings have particularly attractive reverse detail, and the English/Scottish pairs make an interesting collecting group.


Coins have not been cleaned by me.
