This bid is for a Vintage WW2 Picture Poster Print entitled “THE UNITED NATIONS FIGHT FOR FREEDOM”, issued by the United States Office of War Information in 1943. It depicts a number of U.N. Allied Countries Flags with planes, ships and tanks below (see picture). On the base it reads “OWI Poster No. 79 – Additional copies may be obtained upon request from the Division of Public Inquiries , Office of War Information, Washington , D.C.”. This vintage print copy was printed on newspaper quality paper and measures 14⅝ inches x 22½ inches with the inner picture measuring 13¾ inches x 20¾ inches. This poster was purchased within a batch of GENUINE WW2 newspapers, but this could be a reproduction re-issued in the 1970’s, it’s very difficult to tell so please look closely before bidding. As can be seen from the pictures, this poster has been originally folded but is in a very good used condition as it shows evidence of being hung on a wall on the back (see picture).
