This bid is for a Vintage WW2 Picture Poster Print entitled “We want your KITCHEN WASTE – KEEP IT DRY, FREE FROM GLASS, BONES, TINS, ETC. – IT ALSO FEEDS POULTRY…YOUR COUNCIL WILL COLLECT”, issued by Her Majesty’s Stationery Office., Ministry of Supply It depicts a smiling and winking pig holding a dustbin lid with a label stating “PIG FOOD” (see picture). This vintage print copy was printed on newspaper quality paper and measures 16⅛ inches x 22⅝ inches with the inner picture measuring 14⅛ inches x 21⅜ inches. This poster was purchased within a batch of GENUINE WW2 newspapers, but this could be a reproduction re-issued in the 1970’s, it’s very difficult to tell so please look closely before bidding. As can be seen from the pictures, this poster has been originally folded but is in a very good used condition as it shows evidence of being hung on a wall on the back (see picture).
