Ura Jinsei Enjoi! Tamagotchi Plus

Ura Rainbow — ウラれいんぼー

Bandai Japan · 2006 · Tested & Working · With Manual

Why This Tamagotchi?

The Uratama is the flip side of the Tamagotchi world. Inside the Tamagotchi Planet's mouth sits Uratama Town — a city where it is always night, home to the Ura Tamagotchi, a subspecies with completely different personalities from the ones you know. Familiar faces show up, but they don't behave the way you'd expect.

Bandai carried that theme right into the hardware: the antenna tip and beads are star-shaped instead of round, and the LCD renders in blue pixels rather than the usual black — a detail unique to this generation and instantly recognizable to collectors.

This is the Ura Rainbow shell: soft pastel rainbow arcs over white, with a bright yellow star antenna. It was one of four colors launched together on August 26, 2006, and it's among the most cheerful designs in a lineup that otherwise leans dark.
