Description
Pair of small gilt brass candle holders, sold together as a matched pair. Almost certainly the candlesticks from a 1920s–30s dressing table vanity set.
Each stands on a low circular dished base with an ornate embossed scroll band to the rim, small feet beneath, and a cream diamond-quilted fabric panel set under clear celluloid across the upper surface. A squat pedestal urn body rises from the centre, topped by a wide flared drip pan with the candle socket at its centre.
A decorative pair for a dressing table or vanity, or for collectors of period gilt metalware and vanity sets.
Not recommended for use with lit candles given the age and the fabric panels — offered as decorative pieces.
