Every archive piece is individually assembled by hand using natural materials before being catalogued within the Pendle Bindings Field Archive. No two examples are ever precisely alike, and the small differences are considered part of the archive rather than imperfections.
Presented in the style of a museum accession, each collection invites its keeper to imagine that it has passed through many hands before arriving in their own.
