This is a vintage Moroccan/Middle Eastern souvenir demitasse spoon made of solid silver (often 800 or 900 fineness), featuring traditional Middle Eastern decorative chasing along the shaft and a figural camel top finial.

The Animal:  a dromedary camel (note the distinct single hump, long legs, and desert-style harness framework at the base of the finial).

  • The Mark in the Bowl: The mark stamped near the heel is an Arabic assay silver hallmark (typically stamped inside a diamond or lozenge punch). 

    Middle Eastern silver hallmarks—particularly from Morocco, Egypt, Syria, or Ottoman/Arabian regions—use Arabic script, numerals, and national symbols (such as a lotus flower, cat, or regional Arabic text indicating purity level like 900 or 800 grade) rather than Western numeric stamps like "925" or standard Roman text.

    • Measures approximately 4.2 inches long.

    Condition: good vintage condition. Moderate to heavy tarnish, particularly on the back and in the recesses of the llama finial and stem; light surface scratches and flea bites on the bowl. No bends, dents, or structural damage. Would polish up nicely.
