Vintage German souvenir spoon in solid 800 silver, in the famous "Hildesheimer Rose" pattern commemorating the legendary thousand-year-old rose at Hildesheim Cathedral.

The finial is a finely detailed three-dimensional rose blossom with leaves, above a branch-form stem with small thorns and a pierced openwork section, ending in a smooth oval bowl.

Stamped "800" on the back of the stem. Measures approximately 4.3 inches long.

Condition: good vintage condition. Natural patina in the deep recesses of the rose and stem highlights the detail; fine surface scratches on the bowl and back from light use. No bends, dents, or repairs; the openwork is intact.
