This is a serviced Sony Walkman WM-EX622 portable cassette player.
This item has been serviced and operation checked after maintenance. Playback, stop, fast forward, rewind, and auto-reverse have been tested. FWD and REV playback speed are stable and normal. The operation buttons and switch buttons have also been tested.
Maintenance details include replacement of the drive belt, cleaning and polishing of the flywheel belt groove, pinch roller cleaning, capstan cleaning, silicone grease replacement on gear rotating parts, head polishing and cleaning, metal contact cleaning for improved conductivity, demagnetizing with a TEAC E-3 head demagnetizer, and speed adjustment using a TEAC 3 kHz -10 dB flutter and speed test tape.
The playback sound is clear with no excessive noise. The pinch roller has enough rubber performance without a glossy or slippery surface.
Please avoid using 90-minute or longer tapes, heavily deteriorated tapes, or poor-quality overseas tapes, as they may cause sound fluctuation, playback failure, or damage.
