Antique C19th Victorian brass sliding crochet hook (4) case, manufactured by W. Avery & Son of Redditch. It contains 4 steel crochet hooks and was patented on December 6th 1873. The case operated by pushing a slide either side of the case to extend the steel crochet hooks. It is presented in untouched condition and is fresh to the market from a house clearance. It is in good working order and has some surface wear consistent with its age. Dimensions are shown in photograph section.
