This is a medium sized quilled Ojibwe (Chippewa) birchbark box made in Canada that proudly displays their national symbol: the maple leaf, accented with some touches of red. The artist built it of birchbark with sweetgrass rings accenting the top edge of the container & lower edge of the lid. It was likely made in the late 20th century from looking at the tags on the base. Unsigned. It measures approx 2.25" H x 4.75" W x 4.75" D.  Beautiful example of the craft made with Canadian pride!  

Very Good Condition! There are a two missing quills on the lid but it is otherwise strong, usable & complete.
