This rustic basic container was constructed of natural birchbark & raffia. The artist signed it (EJ?) inside & dated it 1995. This measures approx  4.75" H x 6" W x 5" D. From a Wisconsin estate. It is a bit roughly made & lopsided but that is in keeping with the rough hewn look of the piece. This would look great with country primitive decor!

Excellent condition. It is in strong, usable condition, as made! 

Note: I am calling this native American style as we don't know who made it. They may or may not have been made by a native American artist. The Chippewa and other Great Lakes tribes utilize birchbark as a material, as well as non native hobbyists.
