Large Vintage Australian Turned Timber Bowl — Signed Toowoomba

A substantial hand-turned timber bowl with genuine Australian regional provenance. The base carries a maker's inscription reading:

"Manufactured in Toowoomba by V.G. Anderson"

That is my best reading of the mark — please see the close-up photo and judge for yourself.

At 41cm across this is a proper statement piece, not a small trinket bowl. Lovely figured grain running through a warm honey tone, with a carved textured band worked near the rim that gives it a distinctly mid-century studio woodturning character. Shallow and wide, so it sits beautifully on a dining table, sideboard or hall console.
