Second-Generation Upgrade:
The new Mic 2 comes with upgraded transmitters using 2.4 GHz digital wireless and Bluetooth technology. With the Bluetooth feature, you can connect the transmitter to the DJI Mimo app on iOS or Android devices. You can even connect it directly to the Osmo Pocket 3 or Osmo Action 4 camera. Through the Mimo app, you can switch between different settings, such as the smart noise reduction feature (which reduces environmental noise to improve vocal recording) or enable 32-bit float audio recording.
Wearable Portable Microphone:
For a truly wireless experience, you can use the built-in clip (or the included magnetic clip) to easily attach the transmitter to any clothing without needing cables for yourself or the subject being filmed. You can also hold the transmitter in your hand as a handheld microphone. The transmitter can function as a clip-on microphone (no separate mic needed) or connect to an external clip-on microphone (purchased separately) as a traditional belt-pack transmitter.
The built-in microphone is omnidirectional, ensuring reliable sound capture even if placement is not ideal; your subject's voice will be recorded clearly and consistently. Includes a furry windscreen that effectively reduces wind noise while still capturing clear audio. Each unit provides 6 hours of battery life, allowing up to 18 hours of total recording time.
High-Quality Audio, Flexible Post-Production:
DJI Mic 2 lets you record high-fidelity, professional-grade audio and reproduce a wide frequency range accurately. To ensure clear signal capture, monitor audio during recording via the receiver's 3.5mm headphone output. The Safety Track mode records a lower volume (-6 dB) auxiliary (mono) track as a backup (with a different volume from the main track), protecting your audio from unexpected peaks.
Built-In Recorder and Safety Track:
The transmitter has an 8GB built-in storage recorder that can record up to 14 hours of 48 kHz/24-bit backup audio. This allows you to record audio directly to the transmitter as a backup in case of wireless interference or signal loss. You can also use the transmitter as a standalone recorder. Files are saved in 48 kHz/24-bit mono WAV format and can be transferred to your computer via a USB-C cable. The Mimo app lets you switch to 32-bit float recording.
Reliable, Secure Wireless Encryption:
DJI Mic 2 uses DJI’s encryption technology to capture clear audio up to 820 feet (approx. 250 meters) away, ensuring safe communication. The optimized wireless system ensures stable audio transmission even in busy areas like train stations, malls, or offices. Operating in the 2.4 GHz band, it avoids interference from TV and radio signals and uses frequencies outside those occupied by TV, broadcast, and UHF wireless microphone systems.
Easy Operation:
The receiver features a built-in expandable OLED touchscreen and a knob for easy setup. You can view and adjust volume, gain, and channels to find the ideal settings for your environment. It also shows battery level, recording status, and wireless signal strength. A built-in motor provides clear haptic feedback during key operations such as power cycling, internal recording, mute/unmute, and enabling/disabling noise reduction.
Highly Compatible:
To use DJI Mic 2 with a smartphone, simply plug the Lightning or USB-C adapter into the receiver’s expansion port and connect it to your phone to start recording. These adapters support stereo audio playback without disconnecting the receiver. To use with a camera, connect the camera’s 3.5mm microphone input to the receiver’s 3.5mm audio output using a 3.5mm TRS cable. The 3.5mm adapter supports automatic power cycling synchronized with the phone’s power status.
