The YAMAHA QY100 is a compact, battery-powered music production workstation designed for creating complete songs wherever inspiration strikes. It combines a powerful MIDI sequencer, an XG-compatible sound module, accompaniment tools, effects, and hands-on controls in one highly portable unit.

Its 16 song tracks and 8 pattern tracks let you build detailed arrangements, program drums and melodies, create chord progressions, and develop complete backing tracks without a computer. With 547 instrument voices, 22 drum and percussion kits, and a wide variety of preset styles and patterns, the QY100 covers everything from songwriting and beat-making to practice and live performance.

The built-in micro-keyboard allows music to be entered directly, while MIDI IN and OUT connections make it easy to control external synthesizers and sound modules or integrate the QY100 into a larger hardware setup. Guitar and microphone inputs, amp simulation, and onboard reverb, chorus, variation, and other effects make it especially useful for guitarists, vocalists, and mobile musicians.
