Honda CRV 2006 MK2 2.2l diesel Executive
249k miles MOT until 4th Dec 2026
Please read the whole description - it's not likely to get through it's next MOT so can be used for a few months, but then most likely for spares / parts after this (unless you're a good mechanic)
I love this car, had it 10 years, relative to other cars, has been very reliable, has carried so many things in the back, sofas, fridges, dogs, etc.
4 new tyres after last MOT (Dec 2025 ~11,000 miles) New windscreen around same time (now has a small chip in it 😡)
New clutch and flywheel 2 years/~30k ago.
Recently took it for a service but the garage listed a fair list of things wrong and I don't have the time or tools to fix, maybe it's too far gone. Rather than scrapping, I think there is a bit of life left whilst she's still within MOT, and maybe someone can make use of the good parts after that?
I can supply the car with a set of bushes/bearings/abs sensors to rebuild the rear end (including some scrap rear hubs I was going to try strip down to reuse). There is also a spare high pressure fuel pump (will need clean and refurb but could be worth a fair bit), some other spare parts, a spare fuel gauge for the tank.
I also have 4 spare rims. For the right price, I can throw them in too.
Good points:
Runs and drives
4 months MOT
Solid gearbox
Chain driven engine
New clutch and flywheel May2024 (roughly 30,000 miles)
Decent interior (leather seats, some creasing but no rips)
Sat Nav
Side steps
Full sized spare wheel
Starts up no issue
Bad points:
Possible oil leak
Some loss of power
Injector seal leaking (roughly 18 months, I just put air recirculation on)
One front brake binding, one rear brake binding
Handbrake needs adjusting
Rear bushes for suspension need replacing
Rear diff mount worn
Exhaust corroded
Fuel gauge intermittent
Underside body shows corrosion
NSF track rod end badly worn
Electric folding mirrors don't work - I think someone ragged them before I bought the car and stripped the gears
There's probably a lot I've missed off too, a lot has happened in 10 years!
Please note: you are bidding to buy, not bidding to look. I've provided all necessary information and happy to answer questions
