This scarce historical biography examines the life and legacy of renowned Ottoman statesman and historian Ahmed Cevdet Pasha. Printed in Constantinople (Dersaadet) in Ottoman Turkish (Arabic script), this is an attractive collectible for scholars and collectors of Ottoman history, Islamic studies, and Turkish literature.

Condition is good overall for its age. The hardcover binding is solid with light shelf wear. There are a couple of loose pages, pencil annotations and scholarly notes throughout, library markings, and age toning consistent with age. Despite these issues, the text remains complete and highly readable.
