An authentic vintage Japanese marine "Not Under Command" (NUC) navigation lantern manufactured by Nippon Sento Co., Ltd., Japan in November 1979. This original copper oil-burning ship's navigation light was produced for commercial maritime use and retains its original manufacturer's identification plate with maritime approval markings.

Constructed from heavy copper with a clear ribbed Fresnel glass lens, this lantern displays a beautiful untouched maritime patina acquired through decades of age. The maker's plate identifies it as a Not Under Command Light, Oil Use Class A-2 No.1, Type Approval No. 1459, Manufacture No. B123, and Manufacture Date 11/1979.

This is an excellent collector's piece for maritime enthusiasts, nautical décor, lighthouse collections, museums, or ship navigation memorabilia.
