Weighing in at a substantial 137 grams, this is a very solid and rare specimen. Heavy antique resin sets of this calibre are increasingly difficult to find on the market and are highly prized by collectors of vintage Ottoman-style and German Faturan beads.
The set consists of 19 large, smoothly polished barrel-shaped beads on the main loop, neatly transitioning into a finely carved matching minaret (lmam) bead. The beads have a wonderful, smooth tactile feel in the hand and produce a distinct clacking sound characteristic of authentic old phenolic materials.
