A very good - but with imperfections - copy of this rare signed numbered limited-edition standalone fantasy novel from acclaimed American fantasy author and short-story writer Naomi Novik.  She rose to international prominence with her 9-part Temeraire series of fantasy and alternative history.  This highly regarded novel won the Nebula Award, Locus Award and British Fantasy Award in 2016.  





'Uprooted ' published by Macmillan, London in May 2015, 1st edition, large modern hardback, [vi] + 438 pages. 





Flat hand signed by the author at a special limitation page, which shows this is copy number 80 from the limited edition release of only 100 worldwide copies, produced in conjunction with Goldsboro Books.


Internally in very good condition, no inscriptions, a carefully read example.   There is an odd blemish at pages 280/1, which seems to be an oval-shaped ink stain on both pages, which I can only imagine happened in production (see photo 10).  


Externally in very good condition, tightly bound, sharp corners, the book does have a degree of lean, pushing to the foot of the spine (see photo 9).  


Dustjacket in near fine condition, housed in a removable protective plastic sleeve.

No copies are listed globally on the ABEBooks website at present, with only 1 example listed globally on Ebay, which is another copy that I have for sale in fine unread condition.  Another copy, which had been listed on Ebay with a US seller priced at $900, appears to have sold some months ago **
