Up for your consideration is a stunning navigational sextant from the mid 1800’s in the original oak box with all lenses. This was picked up by my Grandfather somewhere in his many travels. He was a British Military Officer during Workd War Ii and later a Diplomat. I believe this is French and Zi believe it’s from the Croix company. The markings are very faded from use and almost impossible to make out. One of the lenses died have some cracks but it’s still intact. This has been displayed in my fishing cottage for many years. This product is an antique 1870s French Navy Croix navigational marine sextant, housed in its original oak box with lenses. Crafted from brass by maker L. Croix Havre, this sextant is a rare find for collectors of maritime navigational instruments.
