A lovely pair of vintage Savile Row half moon spectacles in 14kt yellow rolled gold - the Executive model, which retails at £700 on the current Savile Row website.

Savile Row frames are made by wrapping and bonding a layer of solid gold around an inner Monel core, which is what gives them their strength and their lovely warm colour. This pair is stamped SR and 14 K.G.F. on the bridge and SAVILE ROW on the temple (both pictured).

The half moon shape is a proper classic - perfect as reading glasses, and they look great worn low on the nose. This style from this company worn by Dumbledore in the Harry Potter series and Queen Elizabeth II. The temple tips have a subtle tortoiseshell finish.

Condition: good overall vintage condition, with a couple of things to flag. There is what looks like a small hairline break in one of the eye sockets, and there's some wear to the gold plating, so they could do with a small amount of replating to bring them back to their best. All pictured, and priced accordingly.
