Not sure of print date, but if print date is even close to Copyright date, then this book would be over a 100 years old, so some wear should be expected. With that being said, it is in preowned, read, used condition, tanning, foxing, and stains.  Previous owner must have been a smoker, does have a smoke smell. Has some highlighting, underling, writing in the margins.  ( see photos  ) To me these are added feature, for the next person who reads and studies this book. Your not just reading what's printed, but you also have the perspective of another person, and what they found important. Cover has wear,  fading and stains. There are a lot of flaws.  Even with it's flaws, it can still be read and enjoyed.
