South Eastern Finecast Kit Built OO Gauge — LNER Class P2 2-8-2 No. 2001 "Cock o' the North"
A striking, heavy white-metal kit-built model of Sir Nigel Gresley’s iconic LNER Class P2 2-8-2 express passenger locomotive, No. 2001 "Cock o' the North" in classic LNER Apple Green livery.
Modelled in its original 1934 build condition, featuring the distinctive streamline casing and prominent side ACFI feed-water heating equipment.
Built from a South Eastern Finecast (SE Finecast) white-metal body and tender kit with etched brass nameplates, hand-fitted detailing, and a heavy stamped metal chassis with brass gearing.
Display History: Stored / kept in a static display cabinet for over 30 years and offered for sale as an untested collectors' item. Due to extended static storage, a light routine servicing/re-oiling is recommended
Track Clearance: As with all large 8-coupled kit-built locomotives, this model features a long rigid wheelbase and requires wider radius track curves (will not navigate tight 1st/2nd radius train-set tracks).
