Rare Philips VCR N1500 Vintage Video Recorder 

No power lead - it was tested by a highly experienced ex electrician 

Powers up but the red fault light comes on immediately (please see video) it then turns itself off. 

It could be a faulty tape. I dismantled the tape but couldn’t see anything obviously wrong, but it is very stiff to wind on.

As can hopefully be seen there is some light damage to the wooden base section on a couple of the corners.
