NVIDIA/Mellanox InfiniBand
3 Metre NDR Passive Copper Brkout Cable- MCP7Y10-N003
This MCP7Y10-N003 cable
is an official NVIDIA Mellanox 3-metre (10’) passive Direct Attach Copper (DAC)
dual breakout/splitter cable.
It splits an
800Gb/s twin-port OSFP connection into two 400Gb/s QSFP112 connectors. It is
primarily designed for high-density networking in NVIDIA InfiniBand NDR and
800G Ethernet infrastructures.
Features/Specifications:
- Data Rate - 800Gb/s total throughput, split
into 2x 400Gb/s lanes
- Modulation - 8 channels of 100G-PAM4 splitting
into 2 legs of 4 channels of 100G-PAM4 each
- Length - 3 metres (approximately 10 feet)
- Connectors (head end) - 1x Twin-port OSFP with
an integrated heat sink (finned top)
- Connectors (breakout end) - 2x QSFP112 (Flat Top)
- Cable Type - passive Direct Attach Copper
(DAC) splitter cable requiring near-zero power (~0.1 Watts per connector
end)
- Wire Gauge - 26 AWG thick copper wiring
optimized for signal integrity over the maximum 3m length
Main Deployment
Applications:
- Its primary deployment application is
providing ultra-low-latency, zero-power, short-range breakout connections
between high-density 800Gb/s switches and 400Gb/s network adapters or data
processing units (DPUs) within AI, high-performance computing (HPC), and
enterprise data centres.
- Switch-to-Server High-Speed Interconnects
- AI and Machine Learning (ML) Training Clusters
- Cross-Rack & Intra-Rack Data Centre
