DeVilbiss was one of America's leading manufacturers of perfume atomizers, barber shop sprayers, pharmacy equipment, and medical spray bottles. This example features its attractive original amber glass reservoir together with the original nickel-plated DeVilbiss atomizer assembly. The cap is clearly marked "DEVILBISS 1/6 MADE IN U.S.A." and retains its original internal glass pickup tube, making it a more complete example than many surviving DeVilbiss atomizers. These vintage atomizers were commonly used for perfumes, colognes, antiseptics, medicinal preparations, and barber shop applications and are now highly sought after by collectors of antique medical instruments, pharmacy equipment, perfume bottles, and scientific antiques. The spray mechanism has not been tested with liquid and is therefore being sold as an antique collectible and display piece.
