Ubuntu Touch is not Android. This is the single most important thing to understand before buying this device, so please read it carefully.

• It cannot run Android apps. There is no Google Play Store and no APK support. Google Play, WhatsApp, banking apps, Instagram and most mainstream Android apps are not available.
• Software comes from the Ubuntu Touch OpenStore, which has a much smaller catalogue. Many popular services are reached through a web app rather than a native one.
• Core phone functions — calls, texts, mobile data, camera, browser — work as expected.
• This is a deliberate choice for people who want a Linux phone away from the Google and Apple ecosystems. It is not a drop-in replacement for an Android handset.
