How Does It Work?

Fred Go uses the Apple Find My or Android Find Hub network to help locate your dog or item. After pairing it with your phone, it works in two different ways.

When your dog/item is within Bluetooth range (approximately 15 metres), Fred Go will show as "With you" or "Nearby" in the app. You can then tap Play sound to activate the beep and help identify its exact location.

If your dog moves further away, nearby phones connected to the same network can anonymously detect Fred Go and update its last known location, giving you a place to begin your search.
