Orvis Superfine Ultrafine graphite fly rod, manufactured in January 1999.

The Ultrafine is one of the classic lightweight models from the Orvis Superfine series. At 7'9", 2-weight, and only 1 1/2 oz., it is designed for delicate dry-fly presentations and small-stream fishing. The rod is marked Full Flex 5.5.

An Orvis Cordura-covered rod case and rod sock are included.

The Cordura rod case is in clean condition.

The rod sock was made in Japan and has been altered to fit the different lengths of the butt and tip sections. It is not the original Orvis sock.

The cork grip shows visible use.

The cork reel seat has darkening, natural pits, and areas of cork loss. The sliding rings show minor wear.

The outer edge of the butt-end plate has some paint loss.

There is surface wear around the “0199” year code, and part of the lettering is slightly worn.

The blank has a number of very light surface marks, but there are no prominent scuffs, deep scratches, cracks, or other structural damage. The guides and wraps remain in good condition.
