Professional Centering Template for Diamond Core Drills

The BLUEROCK® BLOCK is a patented reusable centering guide that virtually eliminates core bit walking when starting a 2" diamond core drill hole. Designed for professional contractors and serious DIY users, the BLUEROCK BLOCK allows you to start holes accurately on concrete, masonry, and other hard surfaces with confidence.

The kit anchors securely to the concrete using the included reusable concrete screw anchors, creating a rigid guide that keeps the core bit perfectly centered during the most critical stage of drilling. Once the core bit has established its groove, simply remove the guide and continue drilling normally.

Unlike homemade plywood templates or freehand starting methods, the BLUEROCK BLOCK provides fast setup, repeatable accuracy, and professional results while reducing unnecessary wear on expensive diamond core bits.

Everything needed to begin using the BLUEROCK BLOCK is included in the package.

How It Works

  1. Drill a 10 mm pilot hole to a minimum depth of 30 mm using the included SDS-Plus drill bit.
  2. Remove all dust and debris from the hole.
  3. Install the included 17 mm socket onto a 1/2" drive impact wrench (medium torque setting recommended).
  4. Insert one of the reusable concrete screw anchors through the center of the BLUEROCK BLOCK.
  5. Tighten the anchor until the block is securely fastened to the concrete. Do not overtighten.
  6. Slide your 2" diamond core drill bit over the guide and begin drilling.
  7. Once the core bit has established its groove, remove the BLUEROCK BLOCK and continue coring normally.
