Kodak Supermite Flasholder

WHAT THIS IS: This is a flashbulb holder, not an electronic flash. It fires a single use flashbulb that burns out after one shot. Kodak sold these in the 1950s to go with their simple cameras. Most buyers today want one for a display, for a period correct setup with an old camera, or as a collectable, rather than for regular shooting.

- Empty bulb socket in the centre of the reflector
- White bulb ejector button on the side of the body
- Screw thread and two locating pins on the base for mounting to the camera
- Exposure table printed on the top plate, reading:

PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BUYING: Flashbulbs for holders like this have not been made for many years. Old stock bulbs do still turn up from collectors and specialist sellers, but they are not something you can buy easily, and no bulbs are included here. Please buy this on the understanding that it is mainly a display and collector piece.

CONDITION: The chrome reflector has scratches and some light tarnish, most visible around the rim and in the bowl. The black body has scuffs and handling marks. The printed exposure table on the top is clear and readable. The bulb ejector button and the mounting pins are all present.

Untested, no batteries or bulbs were fitted and it has never been fired by us. Only the flashholder shown is included. Please study all photos carefully before purchasing.
